How can you afford not to charge monthly fees to your users?

We can afford to offer low-cost processing because of a partnership with Meritus Payment Solutions. Meritus is kindly waiving monthly fees for our 501 (c) (3) clients, to help us in our mission to provide low-cost processing to the non-profit sector.

What percentage, exactly, does DonationPay take per transaction?

We cover all merchant processing costs by retaining 3% of each transaction. In other words, your organization retains 97 cents of every dollar of donation.

Are there any hidden fees?

No; DonationPay takes a straight 3% per transaction on all VISA, Mastercard and Discover transactions.

What about American Express?

American Express works on an independant fee structure, and does their own billing. You're welcome to add American Express to your account. Ask your representative for more information.

Is this service different than other services such as Network for Good or Paypal?

We do offer the same comprehensive credit card processing service as our larger competitors, but we do it without charging your organization monthly or set-up fees, and we maintain lower rates than our competitors.

Do you endorse the organizations that use this service?

No; we are not affiliated with the organizations that use our service.

Do I have to sign up with Meritus Processing to use this service?

Yes. Our online application is quick and easy. Signing up for card processing takes a little time but your organization will benefit from creating your own merchant processing account.
